Lilith, Goddess
Under the trees of dripping dew, she danced
She danced with the caterpillars and there mothers, butterfly
She danced with the baby monkeys,
Tails long and swaying,
Fingers sticky and ruff,
Clinging to the bark,
With wide mouths open in grunting, hooting song.
Lilith the queen of the forest of rain danced naked under the green
Breast hung, pierced through each nipple with a hoop of bone
Nipples not to suckle a babe
But to entice the man/god/boys
And pleasure the owner
On moss, damp
She rolled with the visitors,
The warriors of villages near
Their staffs, rigid
Tickled and poked her flesh
As the monkeys sang above
She
Was the one to ready each for his coming of family
She readied
She taught
These boys becoming men how to be gods
To the girl/women/wives
Of their future
Where to lay the berries, the tongue
How to pull on the plated laping hair
But mostly to worship
At the feet of all women's goddess power
She was power
And one
And whole
In those early dew drop days
And nights
Until
A white warrior came into the forest
He smelled different
A scent of decay
Followed him
Coming from the deep blue of his eyes
In his hand he carried a light
Magic and ever bright
His eyes were not sensitive enough to see
Into
Under
The canopy of trees
Alone
In his other hand
He held a half triangle
Made of metal
To fire pellets of war
He was an un-king warrior
Of mountains high
Lands away
Not a man of earth and rain
Still Lilith danced for him
To mesmerize
To sedate
She saw him as her greatest challenge
And for him
She got down on her knee
Before this man
And took his third
Weapon
Into her mouth
Tasting
Drinking
Bring in his dark life power
Down to her belly
To be digested and changed
Into light
She underestimates his darkness
And when he took his leave
Leaving the beautiful naked siren behind
Clinging to her beloved trees
He called witch
Over one shoulder
And over the other
He threw the never-ending firelight
And the lightening caught all around
Heat like never before visited on this place of green
Grew
Orange and blue in the middle
The monkeys screamed and ran
The butterflies flew to the sky
And Lilith?
She, goddess, stood
Two legs planted into her bed of moss
Hands braced against her favorite trees
And faced her end
Fire took all life not running that day
But over this land forever more
Over the now fields of dry grass
And grazing beasts
At each sunset
The monkeys sing
And the butterflies beat their wings
To their once upon a time goddess
Always to be remembered.
